Overview

Samburu National Reserve is a unique and less-crowded safari destination located in northern Kenya along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Covering approximately 165 square kilometers, the reserve features semi-arid landscapes, riverine forests, acacia woodlands, and open savannah plains.

    The reserve’s semi-arid terrain is characterized by dramatic rocky outcrops, golden plains, and doum palm-lined riverbanks. The Ewaso Nyiro River is the lifeline of the park, attracting a high concentration of wildlife, especially during the dry season.
